Toulouse is the alter ego of London based Textile Designer & Illustrator Ella Robinson.
Toulouse creates a world of wonder that exists somewhere between the everyday and the esoteric. A world that blends a dash of escapism with the belief we can all make the world a little brighter.
"After spending 6 years in commercial fashion, I wanted to create work that made my soul sing. As a child I spent countless hours drawing and imagining a world in my head that was far more exciting than school bullies and the monotony of spelling. I want to honour my inner child by conjuring up a world I can escape into, one where magic still exists and the healing powers of nature have never been more powerful.
My process incorporates both hand illustration skills and the digital design skills I've refined as a commercial designer. Expect an alchemy of organic elements and distinctive colourways that will transport you back into nostalgia, or to an otherworld entirely."
